Ancestors of the Blue Moon is a palm sized prayer book designed for (and with) writer and artist Himali Singh Soin. The publication was the outcome of Himali’s year as writer in residence at Whitechapel Gallery and draws on research into the Himalayas, and its animistic rituals and remedies, mystical geometries and spirit realisms. The publication form, materials and symbology draw from Tibetan prayer books and wider South and South East Asian anatomic maps and drawings.
